Follower Friday – May 10th

I promised a new blog series this month and here it is! “Follower Fridays” will consist of recent follower favorites based on 1. the most purchased items from my blog and 2. questions asked by followers. If you’re wondering what I mean by “followers” – its those who engage with my blog content. Either by subscribing to the blog and submitting questions, shopping from my blog posts or with the “Like to Know It” app, but mostly from Instagram engagement.

Follower Favorites

the most purchased items that I’ve shared on the blog

comfy, affordable, low platform sandals: The #1 best seller since February! These Target finds were the best of the season! I can see these being in my closet for YEARS to come! Inexpensive, neutral, and most importantly COMFORTABLE! I’ve worn them SO many times and spotted quite a few of my followers wearing them also!

leopard cardigan: The #1 best seller over the past month! I’ve searched HIGH and LOW for two seasons to find a leopard cardigan. I can’t tell you how many I’ve ordered and returned due to poor shape or quality. I snagged this at JCrew recently and it has turned out to be one of the best finds of the last 6 months. And a TON of y’all agreed with me! The quality is worth every single penny, but it’s also often on sale — and a GOOD sale! There is so much you can do with this high quality wardrobe staple.

**I sized down to an XS. In my opinion – it runs a little large**

New Balance sneakers: I really can’t rave about these enough! Every time I post them I get tons of comments from nurses and teachers who are on their feet all day, saying how amazing they are! And they really are! I have the pink and black. I’ve only worked out in them twice because we were on vacay and I was limited on shoes. And I’ve NEVER run in them. I mostly suggest them for casual, everyday, comfortable wear.

Ankle length stretchy denim: I’ve been raving about these jeans for years. But Gap wasn’t affiliated with LikeToKnowIt so I couldn’t easily share. But since they linked up and I could share via Instagram more easily, everyone is snagging these up! And I’m getting AMAZING feedback!! But beware – this cut is ONLY available at Gap Factory 😉 Here’s what I love about these:

  • ankle length – which is great for a 5’3″ gal
  • amazing colors – they introduce new colors each season – most of which I have 😉
  • super stretch – enough so that they fit this postpartum belly situation! But they are the same ones I’ve been wearing for years. Stretchy enough to be comfortable but too stretchy that they don’t fit after a few wears.
  • actual denim feel with pockets – they are thick denim quality with actual real pockets. Unlike some jeggings that are super thin. You can wear these to work or with shorter tops.

** These run TTS – I wear my normal size 2/26. Below are just two of the MANY pair I own **

jeans // top // shoes (another GREAT seller recently) // camisole // sunnies

camo pants // top // shoes // Hudson leggings // Hudson headband // (cute baby not for sale 😉

Follower Questions

a few questions I’ve received in my Instagram DM’s lately

  • What eyeliner do you use? I’ve been using the Stila liquid eyeliner pen for years. It is 100% worth the money and as best I can remember…I don’t use more than 3 pens a year. And I use this stuff EVERY SINGLE DAY!
  • What color is on your nails? Getting my nails done is the one consistent “treat” I do for myself. Working in people’s mouths – even though I wear gloves, sit really closely to my patients when I’m talking with them in the dental chair, and pointing at things on the x-ray screen…yea I feel that my nails need to be well manicured. Currently I’m back on the OPI Funny Bunny train. It’s my go to for spring/summer…especially with a tan.

  • What diaper bag do you use? I swear by a backpack diaper bag and have been using the same JuJuBee “BFF” diaper bag since Parker was little. It truly has been AMAZING and I highly recommend it. It is starting to fall apart (only because I cram it full of SO MUCH STUFF and have for 4 years now) so recently I rounded up all of my favorite backpack diaper bags that are on the market.

  • Where is Hudson’s crib sheet from? Huddy’s room is a “boho theme” and I’m totally obsessed with it. I need to do a full blog post about it. But her sheet is from Caden Lane and I’m linking it here.

I hope you guys enjoyed this new series! Feel free to leave a comment below or even a question for the next one 😉

xoxo
