5 Spring Wardrobe Essentials

Oh my goodness I’m so glad spring is finally here! And here to stay…hopefully! A few months back I took a trip to Florida to visit Tom during spring training. And I left the girls at home! A full weekend with my baby daddy, no diaper changes, and lots of UNINTERRUPTED dinners out at nice restaurants. And with fancy dinners come non-mom outfits! Like this one —  my personal favorite! It encompasses all of my spring favorites.

1. Embroidered Tunic Dress

A flowy embroidered tunic is a must have for spring. Preferably in a bright color or even white. This easy boho look can be dressed up or town. You could change this entire outfit by pairing with a flats and a hat for a casual Saturday, hanging with friends on the patio look.

2. Strappy Wedge Sandals

These never go out of style! And if you grab them in a neutral color they will last season after season. It seems that every year there are quite a few options to choose from. And these in particular are my personal favorites. A “knock off” from a much more expensive pair, these beauties are as comfortable as they are cute!

Platform wedges are always my go to. The platform part not only gives you height, but makes it much more comfortable for all day wear.

3. Neutral Clutch

A nice oversized clutch is perfect for a busy mom wanting to transition to a night out. I know I know. You’re laughing. Lets be real – how often does that happen? But when it does, it’s nice to snag that oversized wallet right out of the diaper bag and hit the door.

4. Statement Earrings

Y’all know I’m all about the big jewelry. I mean come on! That’s what I do! “Statement” is what SoLayne Designs was built on! And with a busy, embroidered top a necklace isn’t the way to accessorize. So earrings it is! And the bigger the better!

5. Oversized Sunglasses

Not only are sunglasses functional, but they are just as much an accessory as your jewelry! My biggest piece of advice is to pick a shape or color that flatter your face and run with it! Buy them in many different variations and accessorize with them. I personally like a square-ish shape and the dark tortoise is a flattering color with my skin tone.
