Adding a Kimono Multiplies Your Wardrobe Possibilities

If you’ve been following me for more than 5 minutes you know that I love kimonos, wraps, vests, cardigans, all of the above. Layers. I love layers! Not only do they change up an otherwise maybe boring outfit, but they create versatility in your closet. An outfit can do a complete 180 with the addition of a layer. One layer can suddenly take 5 outfits and make it 10!

So when I spotted this gorgeous kimono on a recent trip to Evereve, I had to have it! The texture and material is perfect for spring and I knew the colors would compliment my wardrobe of basics oh so well!

A Kimono with White Jeans

I love the look of navy and white together. The dark and the white are a great contrast. So to add a fun layer just makes it even better. This t-shirt is one of my FAVORITES! I’m wearing a small for reference and I just tied it in a knot. And be prepared to see these mules over and over and over again this spring. The studs around the toes are the perfect little details — plus they are insanely comfy!

A Kimono Over a Dress

You guys I can’t rave about this dress enough! You’ve probably seen it on every blogger in America, but that’s because it’s THAT good! Just the right about of stretch, the higher cut in the front adds a little length to your legs and it comes in sleeveless and long sleeve. Oh and about 15 colors throughout the year! I decided to pair flat shoes with this look. It makes it more practical for errands or lunch with girlfriends. Plus these leather flats are as smooth as butter and I never want to take them off!

Casual Kimono Style

This last look is very similar to the first except I decided to glam it up a bit with the jewelry. I did a basic white tee but this time I didn’t tie it, just to give a less casual look. Pairing jeans and a t-shirt with gold studded shoes is always sure to add a little pizzazz. And then I threw on this large, bib statement necklace to dress it up a little! I love taking basics and jazzing them up a bit!
