Bachelorette Trip Must Packs

IMG_3451

I’m headed to SC for a bachelorette trip with my college roomies this weekend and saying I’m excited is an understatement!!!! Some of my favorite girls, no kid, no husband, no dishes, no laundry, sun on my face, and sand between my toes….this is the ish dreams are made of! Not to mention, we’re going to the same little beach town where I celebrated my pre-nuptials with my favorite girls 4 years ago 🙂  AND it’s my chance to totally over pack (without someone bitching and moaning about why I brought so many pairs of shoes – I’m not mentioning any names) and to drag out some of my favorite summer finds for one last hoorah! Here is my list of bachelorette (or tropical vacay) must packs:

  1. A waterproof, sand proof bag that can double as a carry-on (like this one here)
  2. I love these Turkish towel wraps that are 100% cotton. Use them as a beach towel and they dry super fast. Or use them on your flight in place of the blanket they don’t give you anymore.
  3. Every girl needs a LBD. And typically there is a night where all the girls wear black and the bride wears white. This is the black jumpsuit I have planned to wear. (and I’ve linked it in the past – I’m pretty much obsessed). But this is my current GO TO dress for well…life in general!
  4. A fun pair of heels to set off the black
  5. A clutch to match or something fun/festive/straw-like that says “mommas on vacay”
  6. You need a basic, simple cross body bag for your day time shenanigans. Something neutral and versatile for every outift. One with a strap that tucks inside will allow you to transition it to nighttime festivities as well.
  7. I love these comfy sandals that are neutral enough to go with any outfit you pack for day time excursions. Great for bar hopping or exploring a new town.
  8. A basic cotton t-shirt dress is an easy throw on for a brunch with your girlfriends. And it doubles as a beach cover up.
  9. Denim cut off shorts are just a good life choice so…yea! Bring those!
  10. You need two fun shirt options for those shorts….a basic T and something a little more festive – that says I’m casual but a good time 😉
  11. For the second night out I packed this bright floral romper. But any other cute little number will do. Use this as your chance to step out of your comfort zone! Wear something you wouldn’t normally wear. Or something that may be a little more “beachy” than the time of year. Remember…you’re on vacay. You can do whatever you want!
  12. A neutral heel is your best bet to get the most bang for your buck. And a block heel is going to give you the most support for dancing the night away.
  13. I discovered these amazing waterproof sandals this past spring when a girlfriend brought them to FL. They are insanely comfy and cute as can be. They are the perfect transition from the beach to the bar.
  14. Who doesn’t love a quirky floppy hat that will draw lots of attention (and laughs) on the beach
  15. And lastly – a basic bathing suit cover-up. Something that is festive on the beach but provides enough coverage for lunch at a local restaurant.

Happy weekend! And happy travels! You can catch this momma on the coast of somewhere beautiful 😉

xoxo
