My 3-Step Morning and Evening SkinCare Routine

My 3 step morning and evening skin care routine. 3 step skin care routine. My Beauty Counter skin care routine. My daily skin care routine.

Within the last year I’ve made a conscious decision to shift my focus when it comes to skincare. I’ve never been one to have skin “issues” or frequent blemishes (I’m really lucky in this department) so I haven’t always used the best skin care products. To be honest – I’ve never had a regular skin care routine. I know! It’s kind of embarrassing!

But about a year ago all of that changed! I was introduced to Beauty Counter honestly by happen stance and started using their mineral sunscreen on both myself and Parker. Once I saw how great the sunscreen was I decided to explore their skin care line. One product lead to another and quickly I was falling in love! Not only do the products feel great but they are safe and healthy.

FYI: My skin is extremely dry! I use the Counter Match Regimen with a few other products mixed in.

My Morning Skin Care Routine with Beauty Counter

  1. Cleansing Milk – I start by washing my face with the CounterMatch Cleansing Milk. It took a bit to get used to because my skin was comfortable with a much more “harsh” wash. I’m used to my skin feeling dry and almost sticky after washing. So at first I didn’t think the Cleansing Milk was thoroughly cleaning my face. But after a few days I quickly realized that it just wasn’t drying out my skin but instead was keeping a small amount of moisture in my skin. A feeling I’ve grown to love.
  2. Number 1 Brightening Oil – If I don’t put anything else on my face every day I put this! This stuff is liquid gold. Not only does it smell amazing, make your skin feel amazing, but it helps diminish the sun spots that come with aging…and years in the sun. I know the price is a bit steep, but it lasts you forever! You only need a VERY small amount to cover your entire face.  FYI: If I’m going without makeup for the day I apply just this + sunscreen.
  3. CounterMatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion – This light weight lotion is perfect for everyday use. Its not too thick to stand as a base for my makeup but hydrating enough to last all day.

My Evening Skin Care Routine with Beauty Counter

FYI: I still use the Target brand makeup remover wipes to remove my makeup. But if you want a more healthy option, Beauty Counter has makeup remover wipes HERE

  1. Cleansing Balm – At night I alternate my cleanser. I either use the same Cleansing Milk as I use in the morning or if my skin is really dry (ie: I’ve been in the sun that day or its the dead of winter) I use the Cleansing Balm. This stuff will blow your mind. Its a really unique consistency. It comes out almost like Crisco ha ha. I know. Don’t be grossed out. But that’s what it reminds me of. It even comes with a cute little spoon to scoop it out – again you need a TINY amount. And as it sits in your hand, it melts. You can also place it on your face to melt. And then you wash. But be ware – it is thick! It leaves your skin feeling amazing and hydrated enough all night long.
  2. Overnight Resurfacing Peel – Another bottle of liquid gold. This combination of acids (including hyaluronic acid) work to remove dread skin cells and replenish your skin to leave you feeling youthful in the morning. This product does tingle a tiny bit for just about 30 seconds but it’s not harsh. You actually don’t even wash it off. You apply (again the tiniest squirt) all over your face and neck and leave it on.
  3. Countermatch Recovery Sleeping Cream – Once the peel has dried I apply a layer of the recovery sleeping cream. It’s thicker than the Adaptive Moisturizer so I wouldn’t recommend it during the day under your makeup. But it’s the perfect amount of hydration over night.

Once a week I use the Charcoal Mask in place of the Resurfacing Peel. Don’t do these two on the same night. And be sure to wash the Charcoal Mask off after 10 minutes.

Many of the above products are part of the Countermatch Regimen and can be purchased together at a cheaper price HERE.

I love their products so much that I decided to sign on as a Beauty Counter consultant. If you have any questions about BC, their products, or becoming a consultant please email me here
