Master Bedroom Makeover

Thanks to Gordmans for sponsoring this post. All design ideas shown here are my own and all products were selected by myself.

Our master bedroom has been a really sad situation since…well…we moved in 4 years ago. Since we typically travel and are only home for 4 months of the year, it seemed like a waste to put much effort into it. But now that I’m home, this baby needed some sprucing up.

And I truly do LOVE home decor! I grew up in a house that was ALWAYS changing (and still is). My dad would joke that he’d go to sleep and wake up to find his dresser with underwear in the dining room. ha ha. And he wasn’t always exaggerating! I also LOVE a deal! I love the thought of hunting and searching for just the right piece at just the right price! (something I also learned from my mom).

Which is exactly why I LOVE Gordmans! Not only do they have a HUGE selection of home decor items, but their prices are unbeatable. If you have a Gordmans near you, be sure to check them out. This Saturday is a great time to do that! Their annual Anniversary event will be going on this Saturday, July 21st, in stores. You can also head to their Instagram page here and enter to win a gift card to spend in stores.

I’m beyond thrilled with how this room turned out! The colors are soft and subtle but the textures add so much dimension. Enjoy!

Our bedroom before was a SAD situation! I mean what is up with those pillows?

Still a lot of pillows – but at least they match!

Our wedding vows, hand painted on canvas, was the initial inspiration for this room.

I think this is my new favorite corner in our house

The 4 things I keep on my nightstand: my favorite wedding photo, Parker’s baby journal, my bible, and a book I’m hoping to read.

My favorite wedding photo – the first time Tom and I saw each other on our wedding day. And the best quote ever written!

How fabulous are these stools! And what would you say if I told you they were 50 bucks each! Eat your heart out Pottery Barn!

We’ve always had matching lamps on either side of the bed. This time I wanted something different but complimentary.

My little helper with today’s project.

I truly could not be happier with how this turned out!
