I Finally Found a Lipstick That I Love

Let’s talk lipstick for a second. I hate it! Yes I wear it, but it makes me cringe every time I put it on. I immediately go back to the days of dance recitals…being 7 years old and my mom plastering my lips with this stick! Five minutes later my lips are awkwardly puckered, plastered in place, and feeling dry and cracked. Oh and not to mention – if you dare utter a word, there’s red stain all over your teeth. Moral of the story – who likes lipstick? NO ONE!

And trust me, I’ve tried it all! Lip stain. Lip gloss. LipSense. I’ve tried really hard to get on board with the bold lip trend! I mean at one point I texted a professional makeup artist, a wife of Tom’s former teammate, asking her advice on a lipstick I could actually tolerate. NOPE. That didn’t work either! I love the look. But can’t stand the feel!

Recently I was doing a trunk show with SoLayne Designs and the girl next to me had a sheer lipstick that was known to moisturize. What do I have to lose at this point? So I bought a tube and kind of forgot about it. Lo and behold – this stuff is LEGIT! I now own 4 colors and can’t wait to get a few more!

Not only is the lipstick moisturizing to the lips, but it uses plant based ingredients to gain its moisture.

It doesn’t leave your lips feeling dry and cracked. There are no synthetic fragrances, flavors, or ingredients. The tiny smell (PS – can we talk about how most lipsticks smell like plastic!!) and flavor comes from natural vanilla. So its SAFE! A safe product to put on your lips!

Yes it is a “sheer” lipstick but it’s plenty of color! It’s not wet and shiny looking like a gloss. But its not matte and dull like a stain. And it won’t rub off on your teeth. It truly is the perfect combination!!
