How to Style a Kimono For Fall

I just happened to snag this kimono right before our trip to Napa in the fall. I wasn’t 100% sure how I was going to style it but I loved the color, pattern, and how light weight it was. I also loved that it had designated arm holes. You know those “shawls” or glorified scarfs that fall off at every turn….yea – no can do!

Little did I know that this beauty would become a favorite in my closet. It was PERFECT for the plane ride! That little extra coverage you need for the drafty air flow or take it off and use it as a blanket. Once we landed in San Fran it was a little cooler and heading up to Napa the weather was hit or miss. Lots of sun but cool breezes. This kimono was the perfect layer.

I can’t wait to take this on a beach vacation. I think it would be absolutely adorable as a swimsuit cover up. You could even tie it in the front to give you more coverage or throw on a skirt if you were heading off the beach for a bite to eat.

would you believe it if I told you that this basic T is suede! Yep! Amazing!

Once I got home I started brainstorming on other ways to wear this bad boy and I think the all black may be my favorite. You could wear this for a date night or even a day at the office. This black lace camisole is one of the most versatile pieces I’ve added to my closet. I wear it probably once a week and dress it both up and down. The black jeans are one of 8 pairs that I have in this same cut. The “legging skimmer” is only made for Gap Factory and it is an ankle cut pant. So on a short person they are perfection! Black on black is such a timeless look that adding a pop of fun with this kimono is just too good!
